Testimonials
Our reputation is built on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Don’t just take our word for it—see what our clients across Adelaide have to say. These verified Google reviews reflect the care, professionalism, and attention to detail we bring to every carpentry and property maintenance project.
I had a quote from this company for replace five (less than 2m total) MDF skirting boards that were water damaged, asking for repainting. Having researched the cost of the material, it likely fell within the 20-40 mark (excluding paint). The quote for repair was 1628. I don’t know how this can be justified or is ethical. Will never quote again with this company and advise caution for future customers
Response from the owner:Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear you felt our quote wasn't right for you.
We do want to offer some context, as material cost alone is never reflective of what a trade service involves. Our pricing accounts for a qualified tradesperson's time, travel, all associated labour, insurance, licensing, and the overheads of running a fully staffed business, with a larrge maintained fleet. These are costs that simply cannot be compared to the raw price of materials at a hardware store.
It's also worth noting that not all quotes are apples for apples. Smaller operators and handymen will often price differently, and that is entirely their prerogative, but it doesn't mean a higher quote is unethical or unjustified.
We always encourage customers to do their research and make the choice that's right for them. We're sorry we weren't the right fit on this occasion, and we wish you all the best.
It's becoming more difficult to find quality trades these days but this is not the case at Adelaide Surefix. The communication from the initial meet, throughout the works and completion was open and informative. We were very happy with the quality of work to our ceiling repair and VJ panelling install. The team are skilled and knowledgeable and will be the first to be called with our next project!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much, Elise! We're thrilled to hear you were happy with the ceiling repair and VJ panelling install. We look forward to working with you again on your next project!
Had a great experience with Adelaide Sure Fix. The team was friendly, easy to deal with, and did a fantastic job. They turned up when they said they would, communicated well throughout, and the quality of the work was spot on. It's hard to find reliable tradies these days, but these guys made the whole process stress-free. Would happily recommend them to anyone looking for honest, quality work.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Tess! It means a lot to hear the team made the process easy from start to finish. We pride ourselves on turning up when we say we will and getting the quality right, so this is wonderful feedback to receive. Thanks for the recommendation — we're here whenever you need us. Regards, the Adelaide Sure Fix team.
I’ve ‘umm’d and ahh’d’ about this review for some time.
As with most experiences, there were both good and bad. I’ll start with the good.
Reception staff are pleasant and efficient. Surefix was able to confirm dates for a fairly large renovation job very early on, with a start-date in the near future. The price wasn’t the cheapest, although I wasn’t seeking a cheap job.
I absolutely loved the fact that Surefix supports school-aged female apprentices. They seemed well supported by their mentors.
However, questions began to arise when I arrived home one day so see another trade, not associated with Surefix, seemingly lecturing a Surefix tradesperson on work ethic and quality. Not long after, we received a revised quote from a painter who had to increase their price to rectify blemishes in the cornices and skirtings. We were a little disappointed to see the cornices cut in half, meaning that we have joins mid-room. When questioned, the installer mentioned that only one person had been assigned to the job and that it would be a two-person job to install in one piece. This has voided our painting warranty, and cracks are appearing in the paint about the joins.
Adjoining door architraves were not cut to size, meaning that they were different heights. Surefix rectified this once brought to their attention.
Two doors were installed. Both were supposed to be sealed at the top and bottom as they were inaccessible by the painter once installed. One was, however the nails used to anchor attachments were left protruding from an adjacent window frame. This caused an injury to a painter. Again, Surefix corrected this defect (almost immediately).
However, the other door wasn’t sealed correctly. When the door began to ‘sag’ in the months following installation, I contacted Surefix to see if they could rectify. The tradesperson who attended said that because the door hadn’t been sealed properly it had expanded due to moisture and was now defective, requiring a cut to size, and is now not covered by warranty. As this particular tradesperson was the one who had been the cause of other defects, we decided to get a second opinion. The second opinion confirmed that the door hadn’t been installed correctly and had not expanded. They were able to rectify the door to perfect working order without any cutting or shaving. A report was provided to us outlining numerous installation errors.
Finally, a pocket door was installed which is now difficult to open. Again, another time consuming process with another carpentry company has confirmed poor workmanship as being the cause of the defect.
Following being issued the report regarding the door installation, I contacted Surefix to make them aware of the issue. The person taking the call was receptive, however that was the last I heard of it. To be transparent, I didn’t request a call-back or request any reward or refunds.
My opinions based on professional advice.

Response from the owner:Hi Jason, thank you for your feedback, and for noting that items raised during the job were rectified promptly, we are sorry you feel this way.
Regarding the door, sealing and painting were not in our scope of works. Our quote and terms state all raw timber must be sealed immediately by the client or the guarantee is voided. Unsealed timber absorbs moisture and swells, that is not an installation fault. Our supervisor assessed the door onsite and made the appropriate call based on its condition at the time.
At the time this review was posted, your request for the door to be rectified at no charge was still under review with our operations manager, and you had advised, the day prior, that you would be sending through the report you reference. It has not been received, so it has not been able to be assessed.
If you'd like it reviewed, send it to info@adelaidesurefix.com.au and management will respond directly. Regards, Adelaide Sure Fix.
Six of our turned timber veranda posts needed replacing. The Surefix team gave the most competitive quote after coming out to view the job, then machined up and installed new posts. The final painted result was perfect and the guys were a pleasure to deal with.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Ian! We're glad to hear that you were pleased with our team's quote, installation, and the final result. We appreciate your kind words about the guys and hope you enjoy your new veranda posts!
We found SureFix to be very professional, with a "can do" attitude.
Nothing was too much trouble, which we appreciated as there were some challenging jobs that needed doing!
They gave a firm quote, came on time and did a top job.
Thank you to Ashton and all the crew who worked on our house
Chris and Lucy

A perfect job on our deck. We struggled to find a company that would do the job we needed - it was a little tricky and hard work - but Sure Fix came and gave a great and detailed quote on the deck repair in Adelaide that we needed and then the deck reinforcing job was done fast, cleanly and done very well to high standard. The boys were polite, clean, fast and just generally awesome carpenters ! Everyone was a pleasure to deal with ! I will certainly be going back to Adelaide sure fix when i need my new doors installed and if i need window repairs or any other house maintenance tasks in the future !
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re really glad we could help with your deck upgrades! We truly appreciate your support and look forward to our next project together!
